HLMS VHF Auroral Radar

The High Latitude Monitoring Station (HLMS) VHF auroral radar, located at Elmendorf Air Force base near Anchorage, Alaska, measures reflections from intense patches of ionization in the E-region of the ionosphere over Fairbanks, Poker Flat, and the downrange area.
